About
Hey, I'm TJ.
I'm Deaf, tech obsessed, curious by nature, and usually working on something involving accessibility, websites, community, gaming, or travel.

Life, unfiltered
My Story
No fancy introduction. No corporate biography. Just TJ — based in the Austin, Texas, area.
Deaf since age two
I became Deaf at two after meningitis. It's part of my identity, my culture, and my story — and it taught me to adapt, advocate, and ask a lot of questions. (And share the occasional opinion.)
Tech: it's complicated
I see a website and start redesigning it in my head. I find a new app and suddenly it's 2 a.m. I studied at Siena Heights University and kept going with IT courses and certifications.
Work that came full circle
After years in customer service, telecom, training, and tech support, I'm a Senior Support Specialist at Rylo, helping people navigate communication technology.
Apparently, I needed another job
So I started Twist Web Studio LLC — websites, digital marketing, and accessibility. Yes, I'll spend way too long fixing one tiny detail.
Community
I've served the Austin Deaf Club in public relations, as vice president, and as president. Leadership taught me teamwork, transparency, and when to step back.
Off the clock
Gamer since day one (it's always the controller's fault), Disney and Universal fan, hidden-gem restaurant hunter, and a sucker for James Patterson thrillers.
